Mission Statement
- - Our Objective
  - - The mission of the FASP is two-fold. First, we endeavor to discourage the filing of frivolous defamation lawsuits that seek to do nothing more than chill the valid expression of free speech. Our strategy will include publicly shaming on our "Black List" the attorneys who bring such meritless actions before the state's trial courts; encouraging those named as defendants in SLAPPs to alert the Florida Bar of such heinous behavior; and petitioning the legislature to pass more stringent penalties against those who seek to rob others of their most precious civil liberties. Second, we strive to educate all pro se litigants so they may defend themselves in bogus libel lawsuits, ideally to the point they are able to win swift dismissals that allow for the timely filing of their own malicious prosecution claims against the attorneys who initiated the action.

Founder
- - D.T. Colen
  - - D.T. is a graduate of the prestigious Philip Merrill College Of Journalism at the University of Maryland. While in school, he served as a staff writer and columnist for the campus's award-winning independent student newspaper, The Diamondback, covering, among other assignments, the resurgent basketball squad's 1994 participation in the NCAA Sweet Sixteen in Dallas. He also worked at the Washington, D.C., affiliates of both NBC (WRC-TV) and FOX (WTTG), before beating out thousands of other applicants for one of five highly coveted paid internships at ESPN in Bristol, Conn., the summer before his senior year. After graduating, D.T. relocated to South Florida for a position with the online gaming division of Viacom / CBS SportsLine. He currently serves as Managing Director and Editor‑In‑Chief at G.O.A.L. Web Design, LLC., and is a co‑founder of the company.
